Funeral Mass

The St. Denis faith community extends its condolences on the loss of your loved one. We pray for God's consolation to ease your sorrow. Take comfort in knowing you will not make this journey alone. Someone from the Pastoral Staff will contact you when the church is notified of a death. We are available to help in whatever way is best for you and we assure you of our continued prayers and support in the months ahead.
 

When a parishioner dies, the family should contact the funeral home of their choice and then notify the parish. The family will meet with a member of the parish staff in order to prepare the funeral. (See the resource links for the funeral readings, musical selections, and suggested words of remembrance.) If the deceased has expressed particular wishes regarding their funeral, these will be carried out, so far as is possible.

Depending on when the church is notified, someone may come to your home to offer prayers around the time of death. If there has been a prolonged illness, hopefully we have already been involved with you and your family through our visitation and outreach programs.

St. Denis Cemetery

There are cemetery lots available at St. Denis Cemtery.  Single grave lots are $1,300. Cremation lots are availble for $800 with only a flat marker allowed.  Please call the Rectory for more information about locations available.
