PLANNING A FUNERAL AT ST. DENIS
Instead of looking at funerals as a time to say good-bye, we see them as a time to remember the life of the loved one, not the death. Yes, there are tears, but there is also laughter. We are sad because they died....we are happy because they lived. Creating a memorable service is the ultimate and final gift to yourself and your loved ones.
The Ministry volunteers support bereaved families by helping them choose hymns, liturgical readings and readers, gift bearers, eulogy formats, etc. Memorial booklets may be created and distributed at the Funeral Mass upon request, providing that all information is received in adequate time for printing. Assistance is also provided to the celebrant at the Mass of Christian Burial. We suggest, and it is preferred by many parishes, that you speak directly with the clergy or bereavement minister at your parish to complete selections for the Liturgy as well as music selections. Thank you for choosing the St. Denis family to serve yours.
